The Xbox 1 is the newest games console released by Microsoft as part of their Xbox franchise. It is in direct competition with the earlier released PS4, but there are some stark differences between the two. While the PS4 focussed mainly on being a games console, the XBox 1 has aimed at creating an all inclusive entertainment centre for peoples living rooms, which can be used for playing music, DVDs, and games. The Xbox 1 also has higher computing power, so it can perform better than its competitor in most areas, including graphics. Unfortunately, this does translate into the increased cost of the Xbox in relation to its rival, costing a considerable amount more than the PS4. Although you can get a lot more out of the Xbox 1 than the PS4, it can be a trade-off, and it therefore may be worth it to carefully consider which would be best for you.

Crash team racing is an old PS1 game which is part of the Crash Bandicoot games franchise. As a franchise, it is one of the most successful games ever produced, with crash team racing being on of their most popular titles. Unlike typical racing games, it has a lot more similarities with the super mario racing games which have been previously released. In the game you race to the finish line, while trying to avoid obstacles and weapons created by your opponents, and trying to sabotage them with your own obstacles and weapons. These will be things like TNT and Nitroglycerin, which blow up and stop you from moving forward for a few seconds, or a slow making item which makes you or your opponents slower. Multiplayer is a great option in the game, as it allows you to compete with real life players. For fans of the older games, CTR, or crash team racing is certainly a great games title.

Call of Duty is a very popular game which can be played on either of the two most popular games consoles. It is also a franchise, with new games following a similar format being redesigned and produced every few years. Often times, with these releases you can see slight variations within the game-play, with the options you have to choose from, both in terms of weapon choices, and game options. You will, of course, see some improvements with the graphics with every release.

Call of Duty consists of eleven separate games, of which the first three can be grouped together. The first was released in the year 2003, and the most recent one was released in November 2013. We can expect to continue to see more games released from this game franchise, with the Advanced Warfare game having been announced this month.

Call of Duty is one of gamers favourite games, with it being one of the most popular games, or group of games to be played online, with more than 40 million players playing every month, as of March 31st 2012.

Online gaming is a large field within the gaming industry and culture, and there are numerous options available to you. These options can vary wildly, from games which are already ingrained in popular culture, like asteroids, which can now be easily found over the internet, to some of the more advanced, recent developments, like with Goodgame Studio’s Goodgame Empire. Both of these games can be found through your browser, with no installation required, making for a very convenient, cheap, but still entertaining style of gameplay. Other types of online games can be more expensive, like with Eve, or WoW.

If you are looking for a new game to play, or if you’ve bored of the typical PS4 or Xbox1 game, then considering an online gaming experience could be a great option, and it may bring your more entertainment value than you’d expect.
